AppWT QR Code Generator commits to WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance across every page. We test with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and automated accessibility scanners on every release.
Our Commitment
AppWT Web & AI Solutions designs every web product to meet or exceed Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the European Accessibility Act baseline as of June 28, 2025. The AppWT QR Code Generator is no exception.
What That Means
- Color contrast: 4.5 to 1 minimum on body text, 3 to 1 on large text and UI controls.
- Touch targets: 44 by 44 CSS pixels or larger on every clickable element (the AppWT internal standard, above the WCAG 2.2 minimum of 24 by 24).
- Keyboard navigation: every feature reachable with Tab and Enter, including a working skip-to-content link as the first focusable element.
- Screen-reader support: tested with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, and TalkBack on Android.
- Form labels: every input is paired with a visible label and uses appropriate autocomplete attributes for name, email, telephone, and address.
- Input zoom prevention: input font size is 16 pixels or larger so iOS does not auto-zoom.
- Focus indicators: visible focus outline on every interactive element.
- Alt text: descriptive alternative text on every content image; decorative images use alt="" so screen readers skip them.
- Reduced motion: the pulsing capacity badges and animations honor the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
Known Limitations
The QR code generator preview canvas is a visual control. Visually impaired users may use the alternative scanner pages at /scan/ (camera) and /upload/ (image upload) to decode existing QR codes. The decoded text is rendered as accessible plain text.
